Game 8, Thursday Oct 24th

Kempner Band Family,

Mercer Stadium: 16403 Lexington Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479

We have our 8th Football Game this Thursday, October 24th at Mercer Stadium at 7:00pm against Angleton High School. We will sit on the Home side and perform to the Home side at Half Time. A full itinerary for Friday is listed below.  I hope that many of you can make it out to support our students.

Emergency Contact Information- All students must turn this in or they will not be allowed to travel with us and can’t go to the game.

Tickets- THERE WILL BE NO CASH SALES AT THE GATE. Tickets should be available on this website. Click the link; Tickets .

Dress: Full Uniform: Students need to wear LONG BLACK SOCKS with the full uniform. Students will wear their member shirt underneath the uniform. They will also wear black compression shorts or black basketball shorts underneath. Students with long hair will have to pull their hair into a “high schow bun” when in uniform. Students are not permitted to wear jewelry when in uniform. Students are not permitted to have nail polish on when in uniform. Students are not permitted to eat when in uniform.

Equipment Needed: Instrument, flip folder with music, liar, water jug(pre-filled with ice-water). 

Meals- If you bought the meal plan- Little Caesar’s Pizza – 3 slices (pepperoni or cheese), cookie and drink

Dismissal- When we arrive back to school, we will not dismiss any students until all equipment has been put away and checked.

CLEAR BAG POLICY - Note FBISD has implemented a clear bag policy for all games at District sports facilities including Hall Stadium, Hopson Field House, Mercer Stadium, Wheeler Field House, Cook Natatorium, and Aquatic Practice Facility.

The following types of bags are permitted:

  • Clear, plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” in size

  • Clear, plastic, one-gallon, re-sealable, Ziploc-style bags

  • Clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (4½” x 6½” or smaller)

5:30 pm - Meeting

9:30 pm - Game ends
10:00 pm - Depart for KHS
10:15 pm - Arrive at KHS

US Bands Baytown Contest

Saturday, October 5th

On Saturday, October 5th we are performing for the Baytown Regional US Bands Contest at Stallworth Stadium in Goose Creek ISD. This is a Pre-lims/Finals style contest. We will perform in our pre-lims performance at 2:15pm and will be evaluated by 3 music, 2 visual judges, percussion judge, and guard judge. Only the top 12 bands will advance to Finals. Finals will begin that evening and the 12 finalist will perform again and be ranked based on their finals performance.

  • Box Office is Cashless

  • There is no Parking Fee for this event

  • Spectator Parking: Spectators will park in the lot behind the West home-side seating. There is no parking fee for this event.

  • Children 10 and under are admitted free without a ticket.

Meals- The band boosters will provide Kolaches and Donuts during ECPL after our pre-lims performance at . They will also provide gatorade and snacks after our pre-lim performance. We are also working on serving Grilled Hamburgers and Hotdogs between performances. Students should bring $$$ for concessions for the evening.

A full itinerary for Friday is listed below.  I hope that many of you can make it out to support our students. There is no school on Friday. Report time is 12:45pm for Band Students.
