Homecoming Game Friday, November 3rd at Mercer Stadium

We have our Final Football Game this Friday, November 3rd at Mercer Stadium Stadium at 7:00pm against Angleton High School. We will sit on the Home side and perform to the Home side at Half Time. A full itinerary for Friday is listed below.  I hope that many of you can make it out to support our students.

Emergency Contact Information- All students must turn this in or they will not be allowed to travel with us and can’t go to the game.

Dress: Hot Weather: Students are permitted to wear costumes of their choice for this game. Costumes must be appropriate and meet FBISD guidelines. Any costume that is deemed inappropriate by the band directors will not be permitted and may result in the student not attending the game. Costumes that are always considered inappropriate are: drug or alcohol related, revealing low cut or too tight, profanity, etc.. Students who do not wish to wear a costume are to wear their Member Shirt with Bibers.

Equipment Needed: Instrument, flip folder with music, liar, water jug(pre-filled with ice-water). 

Meals- If you paid for the meal plan, the meal is Raising Canes – 4 Chicken Strips, 1 toast, chips, cookie and drink. If you did not purchase the meal plan, you may bring a sack lunch to eat during ECPL time. Students must have a written note from a parent to leave campus to eat during ECPL. ECPL stands for Eat Change Pack Load.

Dismissal- When we arrive back to school, we will not dismiss any students until all equipment has been put away and checked.

CLEAR BAG POLICY - Note FBISD has implemented a clear bag policy for all games at District sports facilities including Hall Stadium, Hopson Field House, Mercer Stadium, Wheeler Field House, Cook Natatorium, and Aquatic Practice Facility.

The following types of bags are permitted:

  • Clear, plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” in size

  • Clear, plastic, one-gallon, re-sealable, Ziploc-style bags

  • Clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (4½” x 6½” or smaller)

5:30 pm - Depart
6:15 pm - Arrive at Mercer Stadium
7:00 pm - Kick-off
8:00 pm - Halftime performance!
9:30 pm - Game ends
10:00 pm - Depart for KHS
10:15 pm - Arrive at KHS
10:45 pm - Dismiss

Homecoming Parade

Parking will be in the back student parking lot.

On Thursday, November 2nd we will have the Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally. The parade will be on Voss Road. We will start in the DDK Kabob parking lot and march down Voss all the way to the KHS Stadium. You don’t want to miss this event!!! At the end of the parade we will have a pep rally in the stadium and they will crown homecoming King and Queen.

Dress: Full Uniform: Students need to wear LONG BLACK SOCKS with the full uniform(Traditional Uniform). Students will wear their member shirt underneath the uniform. They will also wear black compression shorts or black basketball shorts underneath. Students with long hair will have to put their hair in a high show bun when in uniform. Students are not permitted to wear jewelry when in uniform. Students are not permitted to have nail polish on when in uniform. Students are not permitted to eat when in uniform.

6:00 pm - Staging to get in order
6:30 pm - Parade Starts
7:00 pm - Pep Rally at KHS Stadium
7:30 pm - Put away uniforms/Equipment
7:45 pm - Dismiss

Region Band Auditions 23-24

Please click the links and check that you are signed up on the correct audition on the correct instrument. Let me know immediately if changes need to be made.

Students must pay $15 for region auditions. Please pay online or bring cash/check and deposit in the band hall safe.

Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the audition location.

All students must fill out a contract and turn in to Mr. Brodt prior to their audition.

All wind ensemble members are required to audition for region band. Participation will count as a double major grade for them.
