Concert Uniforms

Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band members will wear Concert Uniforms to the following performances:

Pre-UIL @ Fulshear HS , March 30th

Spring Band Concert @ KHS Auditorium , April 12th

UIL @ Fulshear HS, April 27th

Concert Uniforms: We have special performance clothing that is owned and maintained by Kempner High School through the annual school district budget, but there are additional items that the student is responsible for providing. These uniforms are expensive and they must last for another 7 years. Take care of them! We will wear the Concert Uniform for all Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Full Orchestra performances this semester.

Ladies will be fitted in a black concert dress supplied by KHS, but they will need to supply black closed toe shoes.

Gentleman will be fitted in tuxedo jackets and pants supplied by KHS, but they will need to supply their own white tux shirt and black bow tie, as well as black socks and black dress shoes (you may wear your marching shoes) . A black cummerbund is optional but not required.

Please have theses items by the end of Spring Break!

Other Considerations when in Concert Uniform;

  • No jewelry

  • No wild hair colors

  • No eating while in uniform

bNoteable Scholarship Opportunities

Dear Music Students,

I hope this message finds you well! As we continue pushing forward in 2022, I’m writing to encourage you to check out and consider joining a new platform that can potentially benefit each and every one of you. It’s rather new, innovative, and worth a look given all the benefits it affords our students. The great news is that IT’S FREE and our program is one of the first to be invited to try it!

bNoteable is a brand-new platform focused on connecting student musicians to colleges & universities and vice versa, all in a meaningful way. bNoteable is for all student musicians in grades 6-12 in band, choir, orchestra, and for students who will major in music and those who will major in something else. It’s also for students who are seeking scholarships.

After looking at their website and what it entails, I think it will be easier and less stressful to get noticed by colleges with less anxiety and frustration as you consider continuing with music in college!

The following are a few other highlights I came across.

1. You can discover detailed information on 1,500+ colleges that offer music! You can also view scholarships, summer camps, and “success plans.”

2. You can create your own profile for colleges to view that not only showcases your musical ability, but also your academic achievements, leadership skills, volunteerism, and more!

3. You can upload your own performance video files that show off your musical talent and even include your own YouTube performance links, audio files, and a lot more.

Currently, students can get a one year, free subscription to their GOLD membership (which you will realize is the best option by far). The free membership is for a limited time so it’s worth considering signing up sooner rather than later since you have nothing to lose.

Here’s a link to the website: www.bNoteable.com

I truly do believe this can help many of you as you prepare for college regardless of what you decide to major in! If you have any questions, simply use the contact page on their website to ask them directly. They are rather responsive and willing to help at a moment’s notice.

Thank you for your time and all of your hard work!

Sincerely  Yours,

Mr. Brodt
