Widdyup Fundraiser

We are kicking off our Widdyup fundraiser this Tuesday, Oct 4th. WiddyUP is a fundraising platform where kids create and share awesome videos with friends, family and anyone else in a unique way to raise money. You can learn more about Widdup here https://www.widdyup.com/

We are asking band students to make a “pitch” video and have it uploaded to Widdyup by Friday, Oct 7th. If students don’t make them at home on their own, we will help them make the videos in class on Friday. Please watch these examples of pitch videos. Example 1, Example 2, Example 3, Example 4.

Pitch Video Script

Hey everyone! It’s (your name). I’m raising money for the Kempner High School band. We’re raising money so our band can buy instruments, equipment, props and all the things we need to be successful at contest this year, you know how competitive band is in Texas!!! With your help, our band can have the best year ever. My goal is to raise $500. If you make a donation, you’ll get an exclusive video of me playing a song on the (your instrument). Love you and thank you for your support!!

Incentives

  1. Donuts- every student will receive a donut in class once their pitch video is uploaded.

  2. Candy Bar- every student will receive a full size candy bar once they have received their first donation.

  3. Pizza/Movie Night- every student who reaches their $500 goal will be admitted to the pizza/movie night. We will watch a movie of your choice in the band hall and enjoy pizza and ice cream. There will also be door prizes and we will be giving away a Nintendo Switch!!!

  4. $100 Visa Gift Card- The top 5 fundraisers will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card.

Away Game , Friday, November 4th, 7:00pm at Wildcat Stadium

Kempner Band Family,

Angleton Wildcat Stadium, 1 Stadium Dr, Angleton, TX 77515

We have our 10th Football Game this Friday, November 4th at Wildcat Stadium in Angleton at 7pm against Angleton High School. We will sit on the visitor side and perform to the Home side at Half Time. A full itinerary for Friday is listed below.  I hope that many of you can make it out to support our students.

Emergency Contact Information- All students must turn this in or they will not be allowed to travel with us and can’t go to the game.

Tickets- THERE WILL BE NO CASH SALES AT THE GATE. Tickets should be available on this website. Click the link; Tickets .

Dress: Full Uniform: Students need to wear LONG BLACK SOCKS with the full uniform. Students will wear their member shirt underneath the uniform. They will also wear black compression shorts or black basketball shorts underneath. Students with long hair will have to pull their hair into a “show bun” when in uniform. Students are not permitted to wear jewelry when in uniform. Students are not permitted to have nail polish on when in uniform. Students are not permitted to eat when in uniform.

Equipment Needed: Instrument, flip folder with music, liar, water jug(pre-filled with ice-water). 

Meals- If you paid for the meal plan, the meal this Saturday is Raising Canes – 4 Chicken Strips, 1 toast, chips, cookie and drink. If you did not purchase the meal plan, you may bring a sack lunch to eat during ECPL time. Students must have a written note from a parent to leave campus to eat during ECPL. ECPL stands for Eat Change Pack Load.

Dismissal- When we arrive back to school, we will not dismiss any students until all equipment has been put away and checked.

CLEAR BAG POLICY - Note FBISD has implemented a clear bag policy for all games at District sports facilities including Hall Stadium, Hopson Field House, Mercer Stadium, Wheeler Field House, Cook Natatorium, and Aquatic Practice Facility.

The following types of bags are permitted:

  • Clear, plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” in size

  • Clear, plastic, one-gallon, re-sealable, Ziploc-style bags

  • Clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (4½” x 6½” or smaller)

6:15 pm - Arrive at Wildcat Stadium

8:00 pm - Halftime performance!
9:30 pm - Game ends
10:00 pm - Depart for KHS
10:15 pm - Arrive at KHS
10:45 pm - Dismiss
