Uniform Washing Instructions

UNIFORM CARE GUIDELINES

Students need to take their uniforms home this week and wash them. They should be washed every week during the month of October.

Students must return their uniforms to the uniform to the uniform room immediately the next day after being washed. Be very mindful of keeping up with uniform items. We do not have extra gold performance tops. If you lose it or ruin it, you can no longer perform with the band.

Jackets- DO NOT WASH. These jackets are worn on the outside and should not be soiled. If yours has stains or needs to be washed, see a director.

Bibbers(pants)- Machine wash cool, tumble dry low, DO NOT BLEACH!

Gold Shirts- Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry, non-chlorine detergent. DO NOT DRY CLEAN

TOWEL DRY FIRST: Place a towel inside the garment and on the outside. Press with your hands to take out excess water.

FLUFF the garment for a few minutes on a cool setting. It is best to place a dry towel in the dryer with the garment for this step. DO NOT use a hot dryer as this will eventually destroy the elastic in stretch fabrics.

Hang to complete the drying process.

FBISD Band Night @ Hall

On Tuesday, September 30th we are performing for the ISD Band Night at Hall Stadium. Our performance is at 6:15pm and will be evaluated by 3 music and 2 visual judges.

Dress: Full Uniform: Students need to wear LONG BLACK SOCKS with the full uniform. Students will wear their member shirt underneath the uniform. They will also wear black compression shorts or black basketball shorts underneath. Students with long hair will have to pull their hair into a “high schow bun” when in uniform. Students are not permitted to wear jewelry when in uniform. Students are not permitted to have nail polish on when in uniform. Students are not permitted to eat when in uniform.

Performance Time: 6:15pm

US Bands Challenger Stadium Contest

NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS A CLEAR BAG POLICY 

On Saturday, September 27th we are performing for the Houston Regional US Bands Contest at Challenger Stadium in Clear Creek ISD. This is a Pre-lims/Finals style contest. We will perform in our pre-lims performance at 2:45pm and will be evaluated by 3 music, 2 visual judges, percussion judge, and guard judge. Only the top 12 bands will advance to Finals. Finals will begin that evening and the 12 finalist will perform again and be ranked based on their finals performance.

Your ticket is valid for both the prelims and finals portion of the event. USBands prelims/finals events utilize a one-price day pass policy. Tickets are valid for both prelims and finals portion of the event. This USBands Event Box Office is CASHLESS.  Only Credit/Debit will be accepted at the box office. Skip the line on event day and save money by purchasing your tickets online in advance. Prices will increase $5 on event day (both online and in-person).
