Costume Game, Friday, Oct 24th

Wildcat Stadium: 1 Stadium Dr, Angleton, TX 77515

We have our 8th Football Game this Friday, October 24th at Wildcat Stadium in Angleton at 7:00pm against Angleton High School. We will sit on the Visitor side and perform to the Home side at Half Time. A full itinerary for Saturday is listed below.  I hope that many of you can make it out to support our students.

Emergency Contact Information- All students must turn this in or they will not be allowed to travel with us and can’t go to the game.

Dress: Costumes: This is our annual Costume game. Students are permitted to wear any costume they wish. Costumes are subject to director discretion. Any costume that is inappropriate or too revealing will not be permitted and student will have to wear their hot weather uniform instead. Students must be able to play their instrument and perform the halftime show in costume.

Equipment Needed: Instrument, flip folder with music, liar, water jug(pre-filled with ice-water). 

Meals- If you bought the meal plan- PIZZA, cookie and drink

Dismissal- When we arrive back to school, we will not dismiss any students until all equipment has been put away and checked.

CLEAR BAG POLICY - Note FBISD has implemented a clear bag policy for all games at District sports facilities including Hall Stadium, Hopson Field House, Mercer Stadium, Wheeler Field House, Cook Natatorium, and Aquatic Practice Facility.

The following types of bags are permitted:

  • Clear, plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” in size

  • Clear, plastic, one-gallon, re-sealable, Ziploc-style bags

  • Clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (4½” x 6½” or smaller)

Home Game(Senior Night) Thursday, October 16th at Mercer Stadium

We have our 7th Football Game this Wednesday, October 16th at Mercer Stadium Stadium at 7:00pm against Crosby High School. We will sit on the Home side and perform to the Home side at Half Time. A full itinerary for Thursday is listed below.  I hope that many of you can make it out to support our students.

Senior Night: We will recognize Seniors before the game at 6:00pm. Seniors need to dress in formal attire and will be escorted by their parents and/or immediate family members. Please fill out this information doc for announcements. Anyone who wishes to escort their senior student who is NOT a Parent/Guardian must be approved by Mr. Brodt. Escorts will need to purchase a ticket to get into the stadium. NO PARENTS/GUARDIANS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ESCORT THEIR SENIOR WITHOUT PURCHASING A TICKET.

SENIOR PARENTS/ESCORTS NEED TO BE AT THE STADIUM BY 5:45PM TO LINE UP WITH THEIR STUDENT. CEREMONY WILL START AT 6:00PM

Senior Information: Must be completed by Wednesday, Oct 10th.

Dress: Full Uniform: Students will be wearing their full uniform for this performance. Maroon Member Shirt, Bibbers(uniform pants), Long Black Socks, and Black MTX Marching Shoes.. Students with long hair will have to put their hair in a double braid when in uniform. Students are not permitted to wear jewelry when in uniform. Students are not permitted to have nail polish on when in uniform. Students are not permitted to eat when in uniform.

Meals- If you paid for the meal plan, the meal is Cabo Bob’s – If you did not purchase the meal plan, you may bring a sack lunch to eat during ECPL time. Students must have a written note from a parent to leave campus to eat during ECPL. ECPL stands for Eat Change Pack Load.

Stadium Rehearsals Monday & Tuesday Oct 20, 21

Monday, Oct 20th and Tuesday, Oct 21st

6:00pm - 9:00pm

Kempner Band Family,

We will be rehearsing Monday, Oct 20th and Tuesday, Oct 21st at Mercer Stadium Stadium at 6:00 pm-9:00 pm. This is a required rehearsal for all students and will count as a double daily grade. Students are responsible for their own ride to and from the Mercer Stadium. Please do everything within your power to make arrangements. NO EXCUSES!

This is a very important Rehearsal. Practicing at a Contest stadium is a priceless opportunity that will help our band to improve and set them up for success as contest season starts. We have our design team, sound engineers, and clinicians booked to help the band during this rehearsal. We can not accomplish our goals without EVERY member present.

The Band Hall will not be open after school on these days 3:00pm, go home.

Dress: Practice Uniform: White T-Shirts, Basketball Shorts, Tennis Shoes. NO CROCS!!!

Equipment Needed: Instrument, water jug(pre-filled with ice-water)

Instruments: Students must bring their own instruments home and bring them to the stadium with them.

We will only bring the following instruments on the trailer:

Front Ensemble, Druml Line, Tubas, Baritones, Bari Saxophones, Tenor Saxophones, Bass Clarinets

On Monday, Oct 20th percussionist and low brass players need to report to KHS at 1pm to load the trailer. They will then be responsible for their ride to Mercer.
