Area Marching Contest

Prelims Performance Time 10:45am

The marching band advanced to UIL Area contest by earning straight 1’s at UIL Region contest. There are 18 bands at Area contest, you can see a full list of bands by clicking the performance schedule. Each band will perform in pre-lims and the top 7 will be selected to perform again in Finals that evening. The top 3 bands in finals will be selected to advance to State Marching contest. This is an all day event for the Kempner Band, please get rest the night before and be prepared to be outside the majority of the day.

Tickets- Tickets are $5 for spectators and are only available for purchase online.

Meals- The band boosters will provide breakfast tacos, donuts, and juice for breakfast. Students need to bring money$$$ for lunch at Katy Mills Mall. One of our parents is providing Hot Dogs for dinner. Students will also receive gatorades after their performance along with chex mix snacks.

6:15 am - Rehearsal
7:00 am - Eat, change, pack, load, ECPL(donuts, juice)
7:45 am - Inspection
8:00 am - Meeting
8:15 am - Depart
9:00 am - Arrive at Katy Legacy
9:55 am - Warm-Up
10:45 pm - Pre-Lim Performance!
12:00 pm - Lunch @ Katy Mills Mall $$$
3:00 pm - Watch bands at Area
4:30 pm - Pre-Lim Awards
6:30pm- Finals Start
(Snacks provided, bring $$$ for concessions)
8:30pm- Finals awards
9:00pm- Depart for KHS
9:30pm- Arrive at KHS
10:00pm- Dismiss
