If you are in town this weekend, please consider coming out to the Texas Color Guard Circuit State Championship contest at Hopson Gym by Hightower High School to help us run the contest! There have been a couple of volunteer schedules posted for potential "shifts" but we only need 2 at a time to help run these shifts. As I stated in an earlier meal, it involves just running a timer and that is all. Those who want to see our color guards perform, you can come volunteer and see them for FREE while I cover your volunteer shift!
We need:
(2 people per shift)
Friday one shift-
4:30-8:45pm
Saturday four shifts-
7:30-11:30 am
11:30 am-2:30 pm
2:30-5:30 pm
5:30-9:00 pm Tear Down (ideally students would be interested in this shift)
STUDENTS! Please email me or sign up using the volunteer form under the parents tab in the website! All volunteers interested can email me or use the volunteer form under the parents tab in the website. Again thank you so much, we need all the help we can get!
Hello all!
I hope everyone is enjoying their break so far! As you remember we are teaming up with other area high schools to help work and host this year's Texas Color Guard Circuit Regional A State Championship this coming weekend. I asked anyone who was interested in helping out during this to use the volunteer form on our new website under the parents>volunteer! section. If you are able to help in any we during one of these shifts please complete this form so I can get in touch with you! We would love your help if you are in town and the actual work is relatively simple. I will be making a small instructional video to show those who are interested what will be required, but essentially it involves running a timing clock and that is it! Please consider helping during one of the shifts listed below:
Shifts
Friday one shift 4:30-8:45 pm
Saturday four shifts-
7:30-11:30 am
11:30 am-2:30 pm
2:30-5:30 pm
5:30-9:00 pm Tear Down (ideally students would be interested in this shift)
In addition, I spoke with students before the break and wanted to offer a chance for anyone wanting to volunteer during this contest to come help. We will have things for students to do no matter what and especially in the later and earlier shifts. Again, I would be happy to sign for service hours needed for any student who comes to volunteer!
After anyone fills out the volunteer form, I can contact you directly and help work with you to clarify what times you can help out! This will be a very lucrative opportunity and a great opportunity for our students and parents to help create a wonderful experience for over 85 color guards from around the state. If you have questions about the form (which I know is extensive) please do not hesitate to email me!
