TCGC State Championships Itinerary - April 2nd, 2016

4:00:00 AM Band Hall opens

4:15:00 AM Inspection / Load truck

4:30:00 AM Depart KHS for Bryan-College Station, Texas

6:30:00 AM Arrive Bryan-College Station and eat breakfast (bring your own money)

7:30:00 AM Practice begins

9:30:00 AM Practice ends, load truck, get in full costume, show hair and make-up

10:30:00 AM Depart for Reed Arena

11:00:00 AM Unload and Check-In, Varsity Guard in full costume and warm-up jackets

12:38:00 PM Official performance time

1:00:00 PM Load truck, get in warm-up pants and show shirt

1:30:00 AM Eat lunch provided by Booster Club at Reed Arena

2:30:00 PM Get in full costume again and prepare for a full unit retreat with JV Guard

3:14:00 PM Awards

5:30:00 PM Eat boxed dinner provided by Booster Club at Reed Arena

6:30:00 PM Get in full costume, touch up make-up, touch up hair

7:15:00 PM Check-in 

Kempner’s performance for finals will be determined by the unit’s placement in prelims. Only 15 units out of the 46 units competing in the prelims will perform at finals. The Performers and spectators should be prepared for a finals performance any time between 8:17 PM and 9:13 PM.

11:30:00 PM Change into travel clothes, load buses, and depart for KHS

1:30:00 AM Sunday, April 3, arrive KHS, unload, and go home

In the event that Kempner does not make it to finals, we will depart Reed Arena immediately following the performance of Cypress Independent. We will then eat dinner at an IHOP and head home after 10:00 PM. If that is the case, we will arrive home by midnight. We will then unload and go home.

Spectator Parking: Parking is free after 11:00 AM. Spectators will need a parking pass that will need to be displayed on the parked vehicle.

TCGC STATE CHAMPIONSHIP ALL CALL!

Dear band family!

If you are in town this weekend, please consider coming out to the Texas Color Guard Circuit State Championship contest at Hopson Gym by Hightower High School to help us run the contest!  There have been a couple of volunteer schedules posted for potential "shifts" but we only need 2 at a time to help run these shifts.  As I stated in an earlier meal, it involves just running a timer and that is all. Those who want to see our color guards perform, you can come volunteer and see them for FREE while I cover your volunteer shift!

We need:

(2 people per shift)

Friday one shift-
4:30-8:45pm

Saturday four shifts- 
7:30-11:30 am
11:30 am-2:30 pm
2:30-5:30 pm
5:30-9:00 pm Tear Down (ideally students would be interested in this shift)
