Winter Band Concert

You don’t want to miss our annual Winter Band Concert, the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic/Concert Band, and Jazz Band will be performing. Performances count as a Major grade and participation is mandatory. We will have Holiday Cookies for everyone!!!

Please check the program and let me know of any misspelled names or errors.

Student Dress: The theme is ugly Holiday Sweaters. Students are encouraged to wear fun and silly Holiday sweaters, however this is not required. Students may dress in any formal attire they wish. No jeans, no tennis shoes, no t-shirts. School dress code will be enforced.

Jazz Band Uniform: Jazz Band members will wear all black with a long sleeve black button up shirt and a maroon tie provided by the band program.

Congratulations to the students who earned a spot in the 21-22 Region Band!!! I would also like to thank all of the students who auditioned regardless of placement. Thank you for taking the time to prepare and having the courage to compete against the most talented musicians in the region.

The Region Symphonic, Concert, and Freshman band members will participate in the Region Clinic and Concert this Friday and Saturday, December 10th and 11th at George Ranch HS. Students should already have their folders. Please read the Region Folder Letter that is also in their folders. The students who advanced to area will audition again on Saturday, January 8th for an opportunity to earn a spot in the Texas All-State Band.

Fan-Pledge Fundraiser

We are about to kick-off our 1st major fundraiser of the year. In order for our band to be successful it takes a lot of financial support. Every aspect of the marching band takes money from fundraisers to make it work. Transportation, music, meals, props, instrument repair, flags, uniforms, etc… the list of expenses is endless. The most competitive bands in the state are also some of the most successful at fundraising, and in order for Kempner to compete at the same level as these bands, we have to fundraise at the same level that they do.

Fan-Pledge is a fundraiser built around a intuitive online platform and comprehensive services designed to help us get donations for the band.

All students have to do right now, is set up their account and put in 20 contacts. Our goal is for every band student to have their 20 contacts entered by this Friday, Nov 19th. It is critical that students get these contacts entered so we can reach out to as many of our community supporters as possible.
