On Thursday, May 9th at 8pm the Wind Ensemble will be performing at the Dunham Theatre at Houston Christian University. The Performance will be recording by a professional recording studio. This recording will be submitted in the Mark of Excellence National Band Competition.

The performance is free to the public. The Wind Ensemble will be playing some new music they haven’t performed before. Please come out and support these students. The Dunham Theatre is a state of the art performance venue.

All members of the Kempner Band are required to receive a new UIL Physical for the 24-25 school year!!! There are several dates available below to get a $20(cash only) physical through Methodist. Must bring BOTH Physical Form and Methodist Consent Form. You may also get a UIL physical through your Primary Care Physician. All Physicals are due and a copy must be turned into Mr. Brodt by July 29th at Band Camp. Here is a Physical Form in Spanish

You must use the correct Physical Form!!!!

• Bring glasses or wear contacts, if you have corrected vision

• Please bring your school physical form with medical history completed

• Please bring signed physical consent form

• Masks must be worn to enter the clinic and during physicals

• Social distancing is required

Spring Band Concert Monday, April 8th

On Monday, April 8th we will have our Spring Band Concert in the Kempner Auditorium. Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band will be playing their UIL Concert Programs.

At the conclusion of the performances we will hold a brief meeting to nominate Band Booster Officers for the 24-25 school year. Positions are: President, Vice President, VP of Volunteers, Treasurer, Fundraising Chairperson, and Secretary. Nominations will be voted on at our Band Parent Meeting on May 7th.

Concerts count as a Double Major Grade. Do not miss the concert for any reason!!! Especially don’t miss because of the eclipse, :).
