ABSENCE REPORTING

This is important because the staff needs to organize rehearsals and instruction plans that are most beneficial to the students who are present. Rehearsal goals and objectives are planned in advance and if absences are known, plans can be made accordingly to get the most out of everyone's rehearsal times. For questions regarding absence status, please refer to the band classes syllabushttp://kempnerband.org/syllabus/. This encompasses all activities affiliated with every program under the organization of the band staff, including Winter Guard and Indoor Percussion.
FUTURE CALENDAR ITEMS AT A GLANCE!
The following events are items of interest and importance.
3/23 @ 6:30pm general booster club meeting, BANQUET TICKETS GO ON SALE AT THIS MEETING! Very important fundraising information will be discussed at this meeting as well!
3/27 wind ensemble rehearsal changed to this date in order to prepare for Pre-UIL. All bands will rehearse that day to ensure our students' success!
3/28 KHS and Austin High School combined Pre-UIL concert on KHS campus in the auditorium.
4/21 last day to purchase 2017 Band Banquet tickets!
5/9 general booster club parent meeting!
5/26 final band concert and individual and ensemble competition!
